How to make this Rilakkuma character obento.
Hello My name is Riyo Morisaki.
Today I’ll show you how to make this Rilakkuma character obento.
You’ll need one bowl of rice, soy sauce,
sesame oil, dried seaweed, and two colors of cheese.
Also prepare short pieces of pasta, which we’ll use later.
First, I’ll make the base using rice.
Add sesame oil to the frying pan. Stir the rice.
Add the soy sauce to the rice, and continue to cook it.
Fry the soy sauce rice to get rid of the excess moisture.
I’m going to make the Rilakkuma’s body parts using the fried rice.
I’ll make the face, ears, hands and body.
First, shape the body into an oval.
Use your fingers to create legs at the bottom.
Now the shapes are ready.
Next, I’ll use cheese to make the ears, mouth and belly.
For the belly, I made a stencil from a milk carton.
Cut out the oval using a toothpick.
For the mouth, use an oval- shaped cutter.
Use a circle-shaped cutter for the ears.
Cut the ears to fit the head shape.
The belly, mouth and ears are finished.
Next, I’ll use dried seaweed to make the eyes, nose and mouth.
Use scissors to shape Rilakkuma’s eyes.
Adjust the mouth with scissors too.
The eyes, nose and mouth are ready.
Finally, place Rilakkuma in the bento box.
Put in the body.
Then, add the head on top.
Place the hands between the face and body.
Stick the dried pasta in the ears to attach them to the face.
Then, add the cut cheese.
Use tweezers to place the dried seaweed parts.
Place the eyes close to the mouth so it looks like the character.
Then, add the nose. Attach the mouth.
At the end, add the other food items for the bento.
Pick colors that highlight the brown color of Rilakkuma.
This is the finished bento.
